Methodology

What ADVSR is

ADVSR aggregates headlines from the wealth management industry's news outlets. Headlines appear verbatim with attribution and link straight to the publisher. ADVSR stores no article text. Preview images are the ones publishers declare for sharing, loaded from their own servers and credited to them, exactly as they appear when a link is pasted into LinkedIn or a text message. When several outlets cover the same story, they cluster into one item and the first to report leads.

What gets excluded

ADVSR carries reporting by news outlets. It does not carry content published or bylined by recruiting firms, including its owner's own, and that rule is enforced before anything is stored rather than applied afterward. It covers a firm's own site and its bylined columns wherever they run. Reporting by a news outlet about a recruiting firm is news, and is carried like any other story. Off-topic spam is filtered the same way.

The move count, when it arrives

The ADVSR move database will count publicly reported, team-level transitions, on a stated verification ladder: reported by one outlet; corroborated by multiple independent outlets or a firm press release; or confirmed by primary sources. Only corroborated moves and better will feed the tape rail and weekly statistics. The ADVSR count is its own lens. It is never blended with Echelon, DeVoe, or FINTRX figures, and it does not claim completeness: unreported moves exist.

Independence

ADVSR is owned and operated by Winthrop & Co., a financial advisor transition and strategy firm. That ownership is disclosed on every page. Winthrop sales content does not appear in the feed. Nothing from Winthrop client engagements, embargoed knowledge, or private conversations enters ADVSR, in any phase, under any framing. If it is here, it was public first.

Privacy

No accounts exist. No IP addresses are stored as identity. Participation features use a keypair held in your browser; the server keeps public keys and aggregate counts, nothing else. Clearing your browser storage resets that identity.

Corrections

If a headline, attribution, or future move record is wrong, tell us. Corrections are made promptly and logged.
